6.22.24 Delicious, but spicy Chinese cuisine. I had the pork with garlic sauce and asked to make it milder, but it will still too spicy for me. The flavor was good though. My House Special dumplings were good after dipping them into soy sauce and vinegar. I also ordered Combo Lo Mein and a small Wonton soup. My husband thought both were average and said he's had better. My friend got Chicken and Mushroom dumpling, Spicy Boiled Fish, and Mapo Tofu and enjoyed them all. I tried them and liked them all as well. I would have liked them more if they weren't spicy. We each ordered tea. I enjoyed my taro tea. I noticed that our bubble tea hadn't arrived after receiving our food so asked about it. Our server said the kitchen was making it. After several minutes, I noticed that other patrons who came in much later had already received their tea so asked again as I thought she must have forgotten. She informed me that the delay was due to the boba. The other patrons ordered their tea without it. It would have been helpful if she told me this. Other staff came by to clear our table and get boxes for us. One even offered to box our food for us. Loved the friendly service. My friend said that she thought the price was reasonable given the portion s. She is excited to come back. I would be interested to, but would need to choose items that are non spicy. Note that they are located at the Courthouse Center and the first two hours are free with validation.

East Dumpling House, nestled within the same premises as Nosh Grill House, offers a culinary journey that pleasantly surprised me with its extensive menu, flavorful dishes, and welcoming atmosphere. Located conveniently for late-night cravings, this restaurant proved to be a gem worth discovering. Arriving past midnight, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The ambiance was very lively with karaoke in the background, perfect for enjoying a late-night meal with friends or alone. The menu at East Dumpling House is impressively vast, offering a wide array of options that cater to various palates and preferences. We started our culinary adventure with the Spicy Pig Ear, a dish that immediately set the tone for the evening. Crispy and seasoned to perfection, it was a delightful appetizer that awakened our taste buds. The Boiled Lamb Dumplings followed suit, showcasing tender meat encased in perfectly cooked dumpling skins, a testament to the chef's skill in traditional Chinese dumpling-making. For mains, we indulged in a selection of skewers: Grilled Lamb Skewer, Grilled Beef Skewer, and Grilled Pork Belly. Each skewer was grilled to perfection, offering a smoky aroma and tender, juicy meat that satisfied our cravings for savory delights. The Garlic Eggplant and Grilled Squid Skewers added a delightful contrast of flavors and textures, complementing the meat dishes excellently. Throughout our meal, the service was attentive and friendly, with staff readily available to provide recommendations and ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. The food arrived promptly and was served hot, enhancing our overall satisfaction. What truly stood out about East Dumpling House was its ability to evoke a sense of nostalgia and familiarity. The flavors and preparations reminded me of home, offering a taste of authentic Chinese cuisine that felt comforting and genuine. In conclusion, East Dumpling House exceeded my expectations with its delicious food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're seeking a late-night dining spot or simply craving flavors reminiscent of home, this restaurant is a must-visit. I am already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their menu offerings and indulge in their delightful culinary creations.

Second time coming to East Dumpling House, straight off the bat I must say I already give it points for being one of the few great late night food options in Rockville! The ambience is lively at night with the disco balls and RGB lights, a well as the open karaoke stage. We ordered plenty of dishes, but focusing just on the ones I have pictured, I got the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings (Har Gow), Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, and "Northeast Fried Pork in Scoop". The dumplings wrapper had a nice texture to it that you expect with these classic Dim Sum shrimp dumplings, and the filling was plump and savory. The Eggplant in Garlic Sauce is served cold, and the garlic sauce was suuuper savory, pretty tasty! The Northeast Fried Pork consisted of fried sliced pork in a sweet and savory sauce, the fry on the meat was really nice, had succulent crispy textures! Service was alright, we received our dishes sporadically at different times, with varying lengths of time between each dish. Not a big deal, but there was a point where we weren't sure if our order for the remaining dishes were still coming or not. Overall it's one of Rockville's OG Chinese places, and a great option for late night eats!

Been here several times and it's always consistent, delicious and well worth your money! Please order the dumplings while you are here, they are legit. I think unfortunately some servers only speak Chinese so if you have that as an issue , you may get away with pointing. At least that's what my friend did. House Dumplings were the best in my opinion. But also Pork and Chive, pork and dill, and Shrimp corn. Cliche foods that I loved was Kung Pao Chicken, String beans, Lamb Kebabs (lamb on stick with cumin seasoning, NOT ground lamb). The house soy sauce is sooo good! Overall friendly casual atmosphere with nice people. You can keep to yourself mostly as the waiters are not all in your business, but prompt when requested.

food: I love love love this place. I've been a regular for years and it's one of the best Chinese restaurants I swear by in this area. The dumplings are filling and big in size, and so are their entrees. You can also karaoke with your friends here. service: service is average as they can get pretty busy, but they attend to your needs and I haven't had any bad encounters here. like all my reviews, I don't factor service as much into my ratings, but if you are really particular about getting "good service", then this place is not for you. ambiance: more upbeat, noisy, sometimes you can hear people singing in the rooms

Delicious dumplings that are juicy and so tasty. It's connected to another restaurant I think? Super cute interior. Very vibey and has disco balls, nice booths, cute music videos playing w karaoke lyrics. I definitely would come here again with friends at night for some late night dumplings. Servers were straightforward, they messed up an order but when we corrected them, they brought out the right dish without any complaints or anything! Def recommend the pork & chive dumplings. Tastes pretty similar to the house dumplings but my friends and I thought it had a bit more flavor than the house.

East Dumpling House is a wonderful restaurant if you're in the mood for great Chinese food. Located in Rockville, the restaurant is in a quite busy area, so earlier the better or better yet call the order in or online it. Food wise it very good and the place is family based, so it's share able portions, and believe me you get alot of food. I really like the atmosphere in this restaurant.

The vibes are so vibrant when you immediately walk in. There are so many decorations and lights and it's perfect for fun night with friends and/or family. There is ample seating, depending on the type of food you want, either the kbbq or off the regular East Dumpling menu. The restaurant was getting very busy as the night went on so it would be a good idea to get a reservation. The food was DELICIOUS and the dumplings were some of the best I've had in terms of the way it was cooked and the flavors. The prices are fair as well, and if you're getting dumplings, go for at least 1 dish of pan-fried because it's worth the extra cost. The noodle soups were also delicious and tasted so fresh. Definitely coming here again sometime for the dumplings, but I must try the kbbq next time and maybe give the karaoke rooms a shot too!

East Dumpling House is a cool restaurant and karaoke place. My family ordered a bunch of different dishes, but our favorites were their pork and chive steamed dumplings, cucumber salad, fried chicken, and fried sweet potato. Their dumplings had a surprisingly thin dough and their filling is super tender and flavorful. I love soup dumplings, so I also loved that their steamed dumplings had some soup inside. The fried chicken is coated with a sweet honey-like syrup. We saw a lot of tables also ordering this dish, so definitely recommend trying this too.
